Heat Press Application Instructions for Rhinestone & Crystal Heat Transfers

Temperature: 350 F Time: 10 Seconds Pressure: 40 PSI or “medium to firm pressure”
1. Cut the transfer form the sheet.
2. Remove the white protective backing.
3. Place and position transfer on garment.
4. Press in heat press for 10 seconds.
5. Allow transfer to cool slightly - a "Heat Eraser" is a great product to use in this step. Use it to quickly cool the transfer and press stones into garment before removing transfer tape.
6. Remove clear transfer tape slowly. Watch to make sure all stone have bonded with the garment. If stone(s) have not bonded repeat steps 4-6 until all stones have bonded with garment.
7. Press again for another 10 seconds.
In general, the higher the temperature, the shorter pressing time you need. It is better to use a slightly higher temperature and shorter pressing time so that the material is exposed to the heat for less time.
The above settings are only suggestions and should always be tested on your material first. The bottom of the heat press should have a 1/4” silicone pad so that the pressure is distrubuted evenly over the transer. Some fabrics that are treated with or contain silicone are difficult to work with. The glue may not adhere to the fabric. To be sure that the transfer is afixed properly, do a test wash or dry clean. We guarantee our products, but not the finished product, as we have no control over the operator, or quality of the equipment. NOTE: The temperature displayed on the heat press is not always accurate. Please check it with a thermometer. The heat decreases around the edges of the press.
Teflon Sheets" and "Teflon Pillows" will be helpful tools to have on hand. Use the teflon sheet inside the garment to prevent glue from pressing through the inside of the garment and glueing the garment shut. Generally this is not an issue unless your garment is very sheer/thin. Teflon Pillows used inside the garment will prevent the "impression" of the design from showing through to the back of the garment. Impressions will wash out if teflon pillow is not used but to avoid washing the garment prior to retail sales, use the pillow.
Teflon Covers are a great way to protect your bottom heat press platten. The teflon cover will also allow your garment to glide on and off your platten for faster production!
